Plaid Cymru has published its election manifesto in the run-up to May’s Assembly election, pledging to create a National Housing Company and a National Infrastructure Commission Wales.

Swansea City Council’s planning service has made significant improvements over the past two years, says a report due to be considered by the local authority’s scrutiny committee.

Members of the Gwynedd County Council planning committee have stuck to their guns and refused a 366-home scheme in Bangor. They say it breached national and local policy on Welsh language issues.
