Cardiff Capital Region has signed a £1.2 billion city deal to unlock significant economic growth across the area. 

Planning minister Carl Sargeant has written to all chief planning officers highlighting the importance of not being too influenced by visual and amenity issues when considering renewable and low-carbon energy schemes. –

Swansea City Council has appointed Martin Nicholls, currently the council’s chief operating officer, as its new director of place. 

TAN 12 has been updated to reflect amendments to the requirements for Design and Access Statements. 

Economy minister Edwina Hart has formally announced the establishment of the Port Talbot Waterfront Enterprise Zone to help create economic growth and jobs for the area recently hit by steel job losses.
