NEW PRIMARY SCHOOL FOR CARMARTHENSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

Asbri submit application for new primary school for Carmarthenshire county Council on land off Ashburnham Road, Pembrey.  The development proposals comprise the relocation of Pembrey School directly to the east of the existing school site, the new school would accommodate an additional 60 pupils compared to the existing school  which has a 240 pupil capacity.

A new Primary School is needed and this development seeks to provide a modern, integrated learning environment for the pupils that raises educational standards and achieves substantial economies of scale and greater operational efficiencies.

The proposed development at Pembrey represents a major component of the Modernising Education Programme (MEP) in Carmarthenshire. It will deliver a key element of the future strategic area provision for future primary education in Pembrey
