A large proportion of Asbri Planning's work is co-ordinating the preparation and submission of planning applications. It is this service that has given us our excellent reputation and provides us with continuous repeat business from our clients.
Our services up to the submission of applications include:
- organising pre-application discussion with Local Authorities;
- appointing and briefing specialist technical consultants;
- co-ordinating development teams;
- preparing supporting documents (Planning Statements, Design & Access Statements, Statements of Community Involvement); and
- submitting planning applications.
We monitor the application process by securing copies of representations made by statutory and non-statutory consultees, and we negotiate and advise on technical issues raised by the Local Authority Planners. When required, we present to Local Authority Planning Committees, usually in response to third party organisations and individuals' oral objections.
As part of the application process we regularly negotiate financial contributions sought through S106 legal agreements on behalf of our clients. Once planning permission is granted we also provide a service of managing the formal discharge of planning conditions imposed on the permission. This involves co-ordinating the submission of technical information and monitoring the process until discharge is secured.
Whilst the majority of applications are full applications, outline applications or reserved matters submissions, Asbri has extensive experience of submitting applications for listed building consent, conservation area consent, deemed advertisement consent and certificates of lawfulness. In addition, Asbri Planning has plenty of experience of submission of footpath diversions and highways stopping up orders.
