Asbri Planning Ltd. has been commissioned by Persimmon Homes West Wales to undertake pre-application consultation in respect of a Hybrid application comprising: A) full application for residential development of 516 homes, community facility, highway, drainage and green infrastructure and associated works and the demolition of identified farm buildings and B) an outline application for a new primary school and associated works at land to the south of Glanffrwd Road, Pontarddulais, Swansea.

Prior to formal submission to the Local Planning Authority and in accordance with the requirements set out in Part 1A of the Town & Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Wales) Order 2012 (as amended), the proposal will be subject to pre-application consultation.

All relevant drawings, reports and supplementary supporting documents are made available for inspection and review online below. Computer facilities are available at Pontarddulais Library, St Michael’s Avenue, Pontarddulais, Swansea, SA4 8TE. The identified library is open as follows;

  • Monday 09:00-13:00, 13:30-17:30

  • Tuesday 09:00-13:00, 13:30-17:30

  • Wednesday 09:00-13:00, 13:30-17:30

  • Friday 09:00-13:00, 13:30-17:30

  • Saturday 10:00-13:00

Please note that the library is closed on a Thursday and Sunday.

Public Exhibitions

Two public engagement events have been organised to provide the public with an opportunity to discuss the proposals with Persimmon Homes West Wales and the design team. Both events are to be held at the Mechanics Institute, 45 St Teilo St, Pontarddulais, Swansea SA4 8SY. The first event is to be held on Tuesday 17th October 2023 between 14:00 and 19:00. The second is to be held on Tuesday 24th October 2023 between 13:00 and 18:00.
