PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Demolition of Cantonian High School and development of new campus comprising a new Cantonian High School, Woodlands SEN High School, Riverbank Special School and a Health and Well-being Building all in one campus. The provision will educate over 350 children requiring specialist provision alongside over 1,450 mainstream comprehensive students making it the largest educational establishment in Wales providing this distinct combination of learning. The proposals comprise multi age all weather and grass sports pitches, MUGA, forest school habitats, outdoor classrooms, other sporting facilities and floodlights

OUR INPUT

Asbri Planning co-ordinated the multi-disciplinary team through a multi-phase development strategy involving obtaining temporary planning permission for demountable structures to educate pupils once decanted from the existing school prior to its demolition. This was followed by full planning permission for the new building comprising three schools into one campus, with appropriate safeguarding between all three facilities.
