PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In 2018-2019 Loftco secured a long lease and planning permission was granted for the refurbishment and creation of a mixed used development within the three buildings of Newport Provisions Market. This would consist of retaining much of the original buildings fabric but would offer; a modern food and drink court for 15-20 units; a central bar unit; 100 seats placed centrally with a clear view to all the food traders; a minimum 30 units for the produce market and with space for traders that want to develop their business, allowing for a variety of offers of food, goods, crafts, and artisan products etc. Maximizing the space as a leisure destination, a Gym, a Yoga studio and Health and beauty units would be made available on the mezzanine and the shops fronting the High Street and Upper Dock Street. Finally flexible and affordable work and office space offering excellent facilities management for start-up companies and growing businesses in the City Centre. The whole development is proposed as a new sustainable model for city centre living, working and leisure. The development will be car free.
