Barrie has been with Asbri Planning since the company was established in 2007 and has enjoyed working on many challenging and interesting projects. One of his favourite projects was the development of 177 dwellings at White Farm, Barry for Persimmon Homes. It went to Public Inquiry which Asbri won with award of costs. An example of the interrelationship between local politics and planning and the implications for development.   

Barrie is an ex-rugby player turned social cyclist…when his children allow him time out! Barrie is also a keen traveller having spent a couple of years travelling the world and working as a Planner in Sydney, Australia. A memorable holiday destination for Barrie was India, "a mad, bad, sad country with a memory on every corner" and he once had dinner with the Mayor of Chittagong in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh!
